Jacks lose in league playoffs
ROCHESTER — In a flash, it was all over.
The Wanamingo Jacks dropped both of its games in Saturday’s league tournament at Rochester Community and Technical College and effectively bowed out of postseason contention. Wanamingo fell to Caledonia 12-2 before losing to Winona 6-0.

K-W football team to host camp
The Kenyon-Wanamingo football program will host a camp for Grades 5 through 8 on July 26-29. The camp will take place from 8:30 a.m.-noon.

Wanamingo Jacks beat Lake City, fall to Winona
The Wanamingo Jacks baseball team split a pair of games over the past week, defeating Lake City 3-2 on Saturday before losing Sunday to Winona 4-1. The Jacks’ Friday night game against Waterville was rained out.

Wanamingo drops pair at Cannon Falls
CANNON FALLS — The Wanamingo Jacks baseball team dropped both its games over the weekend at the Cannon Falls tournament, falling to the Minneapolis Rocks 13-4 before losing to the Metro Merchants 8-4.

Legion hits ground running
It’s been a dreary, rainy first week for the Kenyon American Legion baseball team.
After playing its first game Monday, June 7, the Legion had a string of three consecutive matchups postponed because of the weather or the opposing team’s involvement in the high school section tournament.
